You are welcome Paul.
I just wanted to mention that sometimes there were also insiginas of branch or profession on these breast ranks.
Here's a picture of couple of mine breast ranks.

Paul you are welcome.
I'm not sure which year where they exactly introduced, but they where used in Yugoslav National Army (before 1991), and later in Army of Yugoslavia and in Army
of Serbia and Montenegro (Now Army of Serbia does not use them in that form anymore).
I'm not sure if the translations of ranks in that table are correct because I saw that some people are traslating vodnik prve klase as Sergeant 1st Class and
stariji vodnik as Sergeant Major. I think that this translation is better.
About the beret badges, if I'm not mistaking you had in mind those Army of Yugoslavia badges, right? I think that the reason why NCO badges are rarer is because,
according to some information that I have found, they were in use only from 1994 until 1997. But I'm really not sure about that and I also think that later NCOs and
officers were using the same beret badge. I hope that this will be of some use to you.

Yes, exhibition was really great, I'm glad you like it as well. I was very impressed with factory made edged weapons but there where lot of other rare and unique items for visitors to see. Lot of items that belonged to the leaders of the Serbian Uprisings against the Turks. Lot of firearms too, I will later post some pictures of couple of rifles from the exhibition.
Lightfoot too bad you couldn't see exhibition in person, I will let you know if people from the Historical Museum organize something like this in the future.

Greetings Paul,
Red rankings are for soldiers and the gold ones are for NCOs, officers and generals.
Left one on your picture is for Sergeants (vodnik prve klase) and the right one is for Senior Sergeants (stariji vodnik).
I used the translation from the table below.

Megan you are welcome.
Here's a picture of one more grand decoration - Medal of Obilić from the site of Belgrade's Military Museum.

This decoration was awarded for acts of personal heroism in defense of nation and state above and beyond the call of duty.

Humanity or philantropy it's not that different. Humanity means čovečnost and philantropy čovekoljublje so it's almost the same.
You are more than welcome to use my images on your site. If you need some help considering decorations of FRY I'm willing to help you as much as I can.
Best regards,
Radmilo

In 1998 a new law on decorations of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was passed. This law introduced 63 decorations divided in orders (17), grand decorations (5) and medals (7).
Some of these decorations were the same as the decorations of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, some were just slightly different (for example using the new coat of arms instead of the old one or instead of the five-pointed star). This law on the other hand introduced some completly new decorations such as grand decorations. As i wrote before there were five of them: 1. Medal of Obilić, 2. Medal of Honour, 3. Medal of Cvijić, 4. Medal of the White angel and 5. Medal of Philantropy.
Medal of Philantropy (Medalja čovekoljublja) was awarded for helping the sick, wounded and internally displaced persons or refugees above and beyond the call of duty.
