    1. ..... Stabsmusikmeister Lutz ...randt - With dedication on the back Can somebody help me with the full name ? One interesting postcard - Rosalind von Schirach, she was a singer and the sister of Baldur von Schirach Thanks for any input, especially on the Stabsmusikmeister Robert
    2. Got some new portraits on a small postcards-trade-market yesterday, thought You'd like to see them: 2 x Gebirgsj?ger 1 x Zoll 1 x NSKK 2 x RAD officer ............
    3. Got some new photos, yesterday on a small postcards-trade-market. Thought I share them with You and post a question. First one is a very nice shot of a K?rrassier, 1910: More details: Another Chevauleger (this time no question, all is written on the photo) Now my question - who is this ? There is no info on the photo, not even a photographer mark: And some new postcards too: ........................
    4. Got this photo ( CDV-type ) of a soldier from Stuttgart: What type of uniform ? What branch of service ? What year ? Kind regards Robert
    5. Thanks so far for the explanations. I didn't know about german military advisors for the turkish army. The photo came with a couple of other photos, all from the same family. I think You should see the rest too. This one shows Uncle Toni and Uncle Jogl, a few years before the war, they look a bit younger: Next one shows "Papa" again, the soldier sitting far left: Now another photo of Uncle Toni, he died after the war of cancer: And yet another photo of Uncle Toni: Now, there are several group photos, some I believe are made after the war, around 1919 ?? Most of these men are wearing Edelweiss on their caps, also note the MG-Gunners badge over the armband: I also noticed, that the upper cocades were removed. Papa is on that photo of a Machine-Gunners unit. I think that photo was made at Munich, the barracks in the back look very familiar to me And the last one, Machine-Gunners at a railway station. These could be Freikorps soldiers, they are wearing armbands without any inscription, but maybe with a badge, the photo is on "structured" paper which makes the details almost disappear: Kind regards Robert
    6. Got this photo this morning on a fleamarket. I find it a bit strange. The soldier in the middle is wearing a Fez, the order of the turkish-star, ribbon for IC ?? and a german belt-buckle. And even more strange is, that the names on the back would tell us that he is german or austrian. 1 = Papa ( the daddy of somebody ) 2 = Onkel Jogl ( uncle Jogl - Jogl is a nick-name for Jakob ) 3 = Onkel Toni Onkel Toni is wearing a badge on his cap. Here are the pics: The photo was taken at Penzberg - Bavaria. As always - any comments are welcome. Kind regards Robert
    7. Another Knight?s Cross winner of the PzAA 7, Oberleutnant Fe?mann ( Fe?mann also had the swords later ) On the last pages again photos from the award ceremony of I?br?cker That was all. Not cheap, but still under my personal limit. That was my christmas-gift for me. Kind regards Robert
    8. Awarding the Knight?s Cross to Oberleutnant I?br?cker, Chief of the 3. / PzAufklAbt. 7 KC awarded by General Freiherr von Langermann und Erlencamp ? Commander of the 4. Panzerdivision More fighting photos: ......................
    9. Lots of ?action-photos? made during and shortly after the battles: ..............................
    10. I have got a very nice photoalbum of a member of the Panzer Aufkl?rungs-Abteilung 7. This unit belonged to the 7th Infantry Division ( a Munich division ) and took part in the whole Russian campaign. The album itself is made very simple. The photos are sticked into a school-book. But the photos are extraordinary. ...................
    11. Hello to all, thanks a lot for the infos, I almost got it now Thanks for the link, a fantastic website !! Very well done. I have bookmarked it and will now look before I post here. Kind regards Robert
    12. This old comrade has some medals that I do not know and I wonder in what war he fought Thanks in advance Robert
    13. Maybe this time - one for all times !! How do I recognize from the uniform if it is a Dragoner, a Husar, an Ulan, or whatever was sitting on horsebacks ? I never get them right. Thanks in advance Robert
    14. Let's see the photo first: I am not sure what he is. Reichswehr Navy ?? Civil Navy ?? He has no rank insignia. Wearing his IC 1st class. What also makes me wonder is the cuff-title. " ...LD-WITTE...." is all to read. Navy did not normally wear cuff-titles. Here are some details: He was a member of the Stahlhelmbund for sure. That excludes Imperial Navy. No dates, no location, nothing on the back. The details are very clear, a nice photo anyway. Any further information ?? Kind regards Robert
    15. Thanks Rick, he could have been an officer in the medical service, but NOT a doctor. In this group of photos, about 60 photos, there are a lot of nurses to be seen. Maybe he was the administrative leader of a war-hospital. Thanks for all the answers so far. Turns out to be an interesting group, although the quality of the photos could be much better. In No.10 - the second photo, the men in the back look like mongolians, maybe POWs. Kind regards Robert
    16. As I think it is a 1st WW decoration, I post this question here. What award is that ... Thanks in advance Robert
    17. Finally two photos of this man in tyrolian outfit. Maybe he was an actor in a semi-professional theater ?? Played somebody like Andreas Hofer ?? Or was he a mayor of a town and this is his mayor outfit ?? 11.) It could be his signature, maybe helps to identify him, but I can not read it 100 %. Something like " SINOWA" ??? These photos were made by a photographer in Vienna. Not dated. As always - any infos are welcome. Kind regards Robert
