One of my side-collections is to collect postcards of actors in uniforms.

1. ) Rudi Godden ( 1907 - 1941 ) played a soldier in the film: " Das Gewehr ?ber " in 1939

2. ) Rolf Moebius ( 1915 - 2004 ) also played a soldier in the same film as above

Last but not least comes a very rare photo, which I was hunting for some time and today I could finish the deal

The photo was taken at the isle of Rhodos 1943

Of course I can not compete with Gordon Williamson's amazing lot of photos of the Sonderverband but I am quite proud of this one.

Note the little skulls on the collars.

That one is a very nice one

Forestry men are not often to find and this old fellow has a nice medal bar

Now one sad photo, but quite remarkable

He gave an arm and an eye for F?hrer, Volk and Fatherland and got the golden wound badge and was proud enough to go to the photographer studio to get himself a portrait.

Next one is a portrait of three brothers

My attention came to the boots of the Luftwaffen soldier

Although there is no proof, I believe he was a Fallschirmj?ger.

Start with a man from the Transportgruppe Speer

More interesting is the photo together with his comrades

Closer:

Left and right men are from the NSKK, see their shoulder boards and the cap eagles.

The two in the middle are from the Transportgruppe Speer, note they wear different shoulder-boards and different cap eagles.

One is even wearing a mountain cap, which I have not seen so far on NSKK and Speer photos.

And the man on the left is wearing a blank buckle, quite interesting.

I got a nice photo of NSKK leader Kraus, visiting the NSKK school at Kochel in Bavaria

Obviously a wartime photo, as You can see a Panzerkampfabzeichen on the chest of the NSKK man behind Kraus ( probably a Transportgruppe Speer man )

A photograph which seems interesting on second sight:

This soldier of a Garde unit is wearing a shoulder band, which I think is from a students organisation.

A woman ( his mother ? ), is preparing gifts, probably to give them to him, who seems to be on the leave to the front-lines..

Cigarettes and chocolate and other things.

The photo is a bit blurry, however it is a nice shot.

Got these two nice portraits yesterday ( on a rather boring fleamarket ).

They are not exciting, nor do they show something extraordinary, but Reichswehr navy portraits are hard to find, as not too much men served in the navy before 1935.

Also is a nice detail is the big Navy flag used as a background pattern.

No, Rick, I believe that these photos were made somewhere around the K?nigsplatz.

Some buildings are very close and there are larger areas of green.

I missed the scar in Wagner's face, but thought that a Gauleiter on a Munich photo could only be Wagner.

There seems to have been a lot of changing in uniforms during that short period of 12 years. I have not seen those RLB uniforms neither. I knew of the RLB-arm badge, but have not seen that together with the early style DLV-eagle on the sleeve.

You are probably right, that these younger members later went into the Luftwaffe and only the older members continued the RLB work.

The photo is not dated, but place was somewhere in lower bavaria. Photograph was from Dorfen and Tittmoning, both towns in the lower bavarian region.

I always like those photos from the "non-armed" formations. They always show up something new.

This is Leutnant Werner G?nther. He was a Pastor ( protestant priest ) and served as a regular officer.

What is that single ribbon-bar ? Party service award ?
