The color is definitely redish and not purple but doesn't seem to be red enough for a legion of honor. Again I'll see if I can get a closer shot with more accurate color

I'll try to get clearer images

That is a good possibility... The color just didn't feel "red" enough for a legion d'honneur and it is not purrple so couldn't be an Order of Leopold...
Thanks for that insight

I've been wondering about who made this cross..
The mark on the ring leaves some wonderings on if it is just a 4 or maybe there was a "missed" stamp right before it which could have been another 4 or a 2
That would leave:
4 Steinhauer & Luck Ludenscheld
44 Jakob Bengel Idar/Oberdonau
24 Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer PlakettenherstellerAnyone have some more insight into this mystery.

I have this Dutch buttonette with 6 medals which I think are the folowing:
Cross for Marching Proficiency
A DUTCH MOBILIZATION CROSS 1914-1918
Army Long Service Cross
Inauguration Medal 1948
Wedding Medal 1937
WWII Commemorative War Cross 1940-1945I'm curious to know if any of you have a different opinion or think this seems to be right?!

Curious if any of you would have more info on this little one!? What would this exactly be and which period.
Any help/ifo would be really appreciated since I really love this small treasure but am not familiar with it.
Also I made the assumption it is bulgarian but of course I do not really know for sure.

I think that the problem right now would be that so many people are part of the fight and/or are putting themselves at risk while performing their duties that it might be hard to bestow any such award in a fair manner. Think of all the supermarket/store workers, cleaning staff, mail/package and general delivery personnel and the list goes on and on with people that you might not realize are working and risking exposure. Then there are those who show leadership or forward thinking and took action way before they were told to do so by a government and have played a part in slowing the spread.

The National Military Museum in Soesterberg, The Netherlands is awesome I hear. I haven't been there myself but my family has and they say it is amazing. I grew up there when it was a military airbase in operation.

So... with most bars that can not be linked to a person its just a guess, or what makes the most sense with the other orders on it?
(I'm not that interested in exactly knowing it for the bar I linked, just in general trying to understand how it works)
I think you just don't know. I don't see anything that excludes one of this two possibilities. The bar dates WW1 era.

So I'm wondering how you know which order a Prussian order is on a ribbon bar if they all look like a Prussian Iron Cross.
How do you know in the bar below if its a Prussian Military Decoration or an EK?

Would love to see a closeup of the bar you made.... the frame with everything looks very good.
Well worth the effort I would imagine

After much soul searching I finally decided on a way to mount the medals as seen in the portrait of Saddam Hussein. I made sure that NO damage was done to the medals. I just put the display together. Above the Medal Bar is the Portrait of Saddam wearing the medal bar. Next to it is a bag containing pieces of the bunker under his main Palace in Baghdad. This was a long project as I could only afford one or two at a time. The Wisam al-Jadara, 1st Class (the first medal) took me two months to get. I hope that you enjoy the display as much as I did making it.

My grandfather, my father and I all served a stint in Amersfoort. Amersfoort had multiple bases.
Here are a few images my dad collected.
