Thanks Bob,
I bought a few other lots of Mongolian medals and badges, two of them are low serious numbers.
The final prices of some items seem reasonable, made me felt like good old days.

Thanks Sampo,
It is very helpful, I bought this from a second hand shop for 30 Australian dollars.
The fun part is always trying to find out the story behind the medal.

Interesting to see that Battushig book which startes the mongolian collecting craziness is now offered for 250 usd on ebay
I saw that book on ebay too. It reminds me of good old days hunting Mongolian medals without knowing the background. Sometimes it is more exciting if there is mystery.

These are also fake.
Really, it seems very good quality?
How possible? People making these fakes need to sell a good volume to make money.
I was going to make an offer to the seller....

The design of the badge is a bit unusual, especially the enamel on the reverse side. The obverse is the eagle on the top, it says Class one Merit Medal with two flags.
The round one it is also Class one medal with four characters which I couldn't read.
I think they could be authentic. Thanks for sharing.

Hello GMIC member Lingqi,
Like you I've been a collector of Chinese medals for a while, 29 years for me. This is listed in Barac, but I've not seen one in person before this specimen. Based on the Ebay pics, may we have your opinion of genuineness please? Only price has been discussed here, but authenticity concerns me more. Paul, your thoughts too please?
The same seller has a Tsao Kun medal for sale now also at Ebay. The reverse colors seem most unusual.
Regards, Frank Draskovic
Hi Frank, some part of enamel seems repaired particularly the white enamel on the left hand side flag. This part looks to me thicker than the red and yellow ones above. So it could be repaired before. Apart from that, the medal itself looks authentic to me.

Yes, it is indeed. It is from a flying school.

Hi Petro,
The badges you posted mainly from China, some of them are warlord period, some of them are from Taiwan post 1949, some of them are issued by P. R. China (post 1949). Some of them are from other countries like Japan, Korean and some other country.

Very nice one Bob.
After reading all threads, I am not very convinced that No.99 is a fake.
As you can see, there is a mode/tool Mark at 9'oclock.
Is the fake one also made from the original mode/tooling?
