I don't see anything immediately wrong here, but I'd want to check the "Sky Blue Bible" (where the numbers don't/won't quite match up).
A shame the group is severed, but then there was her SB and other awards . . .
Well there is more to this story.... Either the SBB is wrong or our friend .................................is at it again!
The entry for Lyankhuagiin Sandui is on page 35 (101.43) and SHE is a HE!!
He is seen wearing a Soyombo, SBx2, RBL and the labour medal.....
Why mess with a good document????

Time for an exciting update!!! I just got in badge # 17 and it's also made from the same recycled material as the badge I posted a year or two ago...
Here is what I thought it was.......

It looks to me like the bichig is just scribble, just as someone might try to replicate Arabic who knew nothing about the language.
They guy just listed another fake!!!!

Fake KKG documents have been showing up on Ebay for a while now....
This one just sold for $50
I too bought one of these a while back but for a lot less than $50 but it's a fake none the less.
Ed and I went over my "doc" in greater detail in the KKG thread....
The sellers name is "geroyamslava"
item# 320231971150
a second one is currently for sale by a different seller but it's clearly the same type of doc...
The biggest giveaway is the really horrible hand written Uighur.

Last time I checked there were 3-4 for sale on eBay. If that's a problem, I'd be happy to buy and ship.
Alternatively, I'll just send the author an email if he'll sell direct - some questions to ask him anyway:)
Let me know
I asked the same thing but I all he did was list a bunch on ebay.....
Weird..

ED,
My bad... her name is Chadraabalin Tuul,
and this doc is for her title of meritorious artiste/actor.
Her entry in the sky blue bible can be found on page 246, #786.250.
I'll have a crack at some basic translation but perhaps one of our mongolian members would be so kind as to have a look....
Cheers

ps. Cyrillic is weird!!! who knew a "M" lookin thing was a T......

Good luck with your Mongolian quest but I think that the C05 will be very very hard to find now.....
I was lucky I got into this early but I haven't seen one in over a year, maybe longer.....
I think there are only about 400 of these out there, but you never know you might get lucky...
Cheers

If you really have to have one you could also go for this one from Liverpoolmedals.....
This is rather an interesting coincidence....
They have #3923 for sale at 145 pounds or $285 US.
So right now that's 100 US less than the Ebay one. They are slow to remove sold items though so you might be out of luck...
Anyway good luck with Mongolian orders they are very addictive!!!
Cheers

Hi
Thank you both for your help. So, genuine. It is time for bidding now.
well it's at $386.99 so you might be better off paying $445 for this one from Igor.
Both are over priced if you ask me, but at this point I think the screw back is a better buy....

It looks to me simply that the hammer and sickle get snagged and BENT in wear, tugging them out of shape.
Rick, I had the same thought....
Just for the hell of it I marked where the rivets are and it makes what you say very likely. The entire blade is unsupported.....
23k bends very easily after all.....
Eric... Thanks for the info but I must be missing something.....
Taking the lighting/bad scans into account I find the very things you mention not being the case....
The spike to me looks identical... the big shadow behind the pictures bob posted might be a problem....
The order posted by Christophe seems to be more worn on the high spots like the animal heads... that might account for some of the differences in the detail....
just my $.02
So no 100% conclusion either way then??????

Bob,
I personally have serious reservations as to the order you show.
Compare the mintmark with that of similar orders; it looks rather crude to me. Then there are many minute differences (beside the H&S) which make me doubt that the piece you show was manufactured at the same place as the other genuine ones.
Marc
Hi there Marc would you mind letting us know which other differences you had in mind????
Thanks

Hi
I know this type is a very common one, but it could be my first ORBC...
Please, do you think this order is genuine (it looks good to me, but advice are welcome ...!):
HI there Eric,
I think that this one is just fine.....

Ed,
It looks like we found new highest serial number.
It's not than much higher than previously known SN 2006, the difference is less than 80.
These high numbers were probably non-awarded examples, but we will know sure once research is available.
William
You may very well be correct William....
That SB sure looks "fresh"...

Excellent. Now I have to find some way to get a copy
I have sent the author an email asking for a price on the books and shipping.
He is also aware of this thread and forum from our earlier dealings and so he might post here himself at some point
I'll let you know ASAP.
Cheers.

I was just looking around on ebay.de and I came across this interesting looking book.. 460 colour pics with descriptions.
Nice looking, and the author Hein Sonnenberg should be familiar to some.

Hero of Labor #44

Made an attempt at doing some translation of the SBB entry.
Turns out the man was a miner or construction worker(tunneler??) who between the years of 1958-61 managed to "drill from a solid mountain 12430 cubic metres of rock"...
That's a whole lotta rock!!
So much so that it says in the text that the 129 linear metres of penetration he managed in 1958 was enough to set a new world record!!
Fun stuff!!!
Cheers
