    1. Rick,

Can you make out the name of the Senior doctor that signed it? Here's a better pic of the inside of the card.

      Doc

The name of the senior dentist/doctor is R.K. Nesterovich

the name of the recipient is Vasily Demyanovich

and it's a "happy victory day" card from the 4th dental polyclinic collective.

      Cheers

      Dear ChinaMedals,

I hope you will read this thread, and other threads on this forum and find them informative.

We, the forum, have made an enormous contribution to this particular field and as such we KNOW certain things...

We know that many of these orders were sold from the mongolian state/central bank and so these were never awarded. I'm afraid the ones you are selling fall into that category. Polarstars were awarded almost in random order but the ORCBs were much more logical.

That being said one member here works at a mongolian bank and has first hand knowledge that these were sold by the bank.

We take the historical significance, authenticity of these awards very seriously and I'm sure both Bob and I, and all the other members reading this post, would love to be shown the documents etc. that you say prove these were awarded.

If you expect somebody to pay $12,000 for these you should be able to prove your case. It's only fair!

      Cheers and good luck

      JC

    4. HELLO FRIENDS

IN MY OPINION A GOOD ONE. PLEASE WRITE ME YOUR OPINION.

WHAT'S THE VALUE OF THIS VERSION (FOR INSURANCE REASONS)

      THANK YOU!

This is a herder badge J02.

This is the most common type and so the lowest price, it also has an incorrect screwplate so I would say no more than $75.

I must say though that this one sometimes sells for more...not sure why.

      Cheers

    6. Bob, I had my wife take a look and the document says the usual stuff...

Defender socialist state or ideals etc. The state awards him this award etc.

The real interesting bit she could read though...the typed stuff in the middle.

Could you please send me a higher quality file of it to see what she can make of it?

Ok now for the somewhat exciting bit....

The signature is from somebody rather special.

      Perhaps you've heard of him,

      Kliment Voroshilov!!!!!

Here is his signature on an interesting document I have...

      Enjoy.

    7. So I finally received the piece I've been waiting for since January....long story.

Bob's post about the archive etc. got me thinking.

Which pieces would I like to get researched first, assuming it was/is/will be possible.

Partizan badges, soyombo, Sukhbaatars all came to mind but in the end it was these four that I thought might be the most interesting.

I base this purely, and probably erroneously, on the low serial numbers.

I think these are all the lowest numbered examples of their kind.

You guys can probably add a few amazing things to this little list.

Cheers from a very happy me!!! :jumping:
