Prince Bernhard's awards are there. His Militaire Willemsorde 2nd class is quite something! Prince Claus and Queen Wilhelmina's are also there, but I'm not sure about Queen Juliana. I don't recall, although I would expect so. Well worth seeing!

I just returned from a trip to the Netherlands, and visited the Chancellery of Orders museum at the Het Loo Palace. They had on display a grand cross of the Order of Good Hope awarded to the late Prince Claus of the Netherlands in 1996 by Nelson Mandela. This order was a carry-over from the Apartheid-era South Africa, and was replaced only in 2003. The quality was decent but not great, as most later South African pieces are.

Finally, some Ethiopian orders from the Empire days, and I think an Egyptian order on the left.

Another favourite of mine as I collect Japanese awards. The order of the Chrysanthemum.

Jacky, you definitely should go there. apart from the Palace itself and the gardens which are very nice, the Chancellery museum is awesome! There is way, way more than the pics show. Paul, you're right. The French royal orders they have are beautiful and also a favourite of mine. I especially like the order of the Garter set though...my all-time favourite piece! I"ve never seen worksmanship like that on the Collar of the Garter...it's simply astounding.
