I would expect to see these for about 100-150 dollars.
Thank you Paul, then I did good, I paid about 50% of that mid price. It always feels good to find things at good prices

John showed a very nice LW Helferin badge, here is a photo of one i might buy. Not the same quality, thinnner embroidery and missalignment. It is a late war badge. Any thoughts?

Thank you all!
Pictures and info now saved in my fake archaive.
It seems that I learn alot more when I try things on this forum rather than sitting alone and think I know things. Perhaps my kids are right when they say "you don't understand anyting"!

I need to study more, obviously. I guess that the eagle and wreth are the wrong pattern then, I do not have that many reference pictures (yet) on this one. But it is still a zinker, right but done well after 1945?

Good evening all,
It's me again with more questions. First let's see if i have learnt something. To me, the attached LW radio operator/gunner looks like a late zink to me, replaced hinge and pin and someone has messed with the rivets and attachement of the eagle. Are the eagle and wreth matching or is a mix? To me i looks to be period apart from this. OK, I tried, now shoot me down

Thank you everybody,
I stayed away from it and save a small sum for something real.

Frinds,
What kind of LW insignia is this, or rather for what purpose was it used? Also, in my eyes it looks very new and in a too good state.
Thank you

Rick,
I will have a look at the funny brand, thank you for the advice. The only problem I have with that is if I buy one, I would have to do so in big black sunglasses and a big black hat, I work for HP and they would kill me if they found out.....
Take care

Rick,
I am very sorry not replying to you answere to me, sorry for my rudeness.
I do not own a scanner and taking it to work to use the scanners there is not an option. The scratching is very faint and I togheter with a local dealer have tried several things to make out the name but with no luck so far. Sooner or later I will get myself a good scanner and I will be back then.
Again sorry.

It is a late war Russian copy of the LKpW101
Thank you Gene!
At least I have gotten a better feeling when it comes to original or not, this one made me think both 2 and 3 times. I looked for pictures of similar helmets but couldn't find any.
Question, did the Soviets use this during WWII? I guess so.

Sorry for just asking questions and not beeing able to contribute myself, it would be nice with learning "L" sign as an awatar so everyone knows! This time I would like to know if this is an LW helmet of any kind. It's not a LKpW101, that much I have been able to find out.
Thank you
