I agree the images they had on the auction were out of focus but I had them take several new pics and send them to me before I bid.. It's an authentic case, I'm just not certain if it's pre or post 1918......... Still hard to find.... GB

I have another question for you guys... This CE Juncker case for the Prussian pilot badge, what period do you feel it comes from, pre - 1918 or post - 1918? I ask because I have zero experience with these cases.......... TIA GB

Luftmensch, I agree completely. And thank you for cancelling your bid. I am a life member of the MAX organization and have been to, at least, ten Max shows and I've been to the SOS a couple of times. Both are excellent shows. The SOS is growing exponentially.. But as I gain in age and wisdom, and if I must travel, it's the Caribbean for me... This is a nice forum...

I greatly appreciate the pictures and the comments. I was thinking about it and $600.00 does sound like a lot of money. The majority of us do not live where there are large militaria shows near by. What do you think the odds are of finding an authentic CE Juncker case for the Prussian pilot badge locally? It could take a life time if you just waited for the local area antique shops to have one available. Even then, what do you suppose they would charge? So it's off to the MAX or the SOS to try and find one. The airfare from here would be between $500.00 to $700.00 to Louisville or Indianapolis, rent a car, book a motel for four days, meals, gratuities and on and on. You could easily blow 2K and not even find what you're looking for. Not to meantion what a delight air travel is these days... So, now does the $600.00 sound like so much? Sounds like a bargain to me... What is truely a wonder of this 21st century is the Internet and these fantastic forums. People like me have access to highly experienced and knowledgeable people that are more than willing to share their expertise. For this I am eternally greatful.. Hello all, I'm a new guy to this forum. Looks like a nice forum, hope it is real active..... Can anybody post or send to me images of cases for the C.E Juncker Prussian pilot badge? I know Ken Greenfield had a picture of one on his site but it is not there anymore. Perhaps somebody knows of a link(s) to some images..... Any help will be greatly appreciated. All the best..... GB
