Military version. This was an amphibious version of the venerable 2 1/2 ton or as commonly know the "Deuce and a half"

Sdfkz 81 6x4 Krupp Proetze, which means "Boxer" named after the motor that drove it. It was mainly used early in the war, as an artillery tractor for light A/T and Flak, which probably accounts for why you don't see many. It was driven by a 4-cyl engine and had all around independent suspension. Hope this helps

Is that sort of like the Reserves, or as I think you call them, Territorials?

Check this place out, no helmets but it has some tunics and other related stuff. Priced in US$
www.germanmilitaria.com
It's in Fredricton, New Brunswick, Canada. The proprietor Peter Whamond iis a good guy and honest. I have bought lots from there and never had a problem. I am not sure what the GBP exchange rate to the US$ is, if it's anything like the Cdn$ to the GBP (approx $2.6 to GBP). you guys could get a good deal

Here's afew canadian ones:
PPCLI (Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry)
Please Protect Canada's Little Idoits
Piss Poor Canadians Lacking Intelligence
RCR (Royal Canadian Regiment)
Run Chicken Run
They also go by "Chicken F*ckers". And according to the story, an officer came into the mess for supper, after meal hours and asked for the roast chicken that had been served at supper. There was none left, however he badgered and pulled rank on the staff. So eventually the cook roasted him a chicken with a special sauce in the cavity of the chicken. Hence the handle!
This was my regiment when I was in the regular force, although I have no affinity for having sexual relations with chickens . They also have the distinction of being the oldest serving line regiment in Canada

Yes out of approximately 39,000 approximatley 32,000 lost theiir lives. Out of roughly 820 boats 718 did not return. About 5,000 were made POW during the war. Such a high rate of loss in a large and excellently trained body of men in a long drawn out war is probably unique in the history of war. But, faced with overwhelming superiority, they fought stubbornly to the bitter end. Which speaks highly for the leadership of Donitz, and the esprit de corps in hhis service

Is this kind of what you are looking for, Gordon? Ignore the white squiggle, I would re-scan them.
