Well Jim, as you know I dont ordinarily like to show off cheeky
I dont know what the picture is going to be like, but here you go.
Sorry but my camera does not do it justice, I had to scan it. Not as minty as Gordons, and I will admit I have though a few times of buffing it up, but in the long run, I think the patina is nicer. Yes it's good to run into Gordon again, from what I have been told "The Bible" will soon be going to the publishers.

Ha. You should see what we are going thru over here, in relation to compensation claims  The only book I have on the subject is called "Man Hunt in Kenya" by Ian Henderson and Philip Goodhart, an old book put out by Bantam Books

The Newfoundland Medal is #1839, he served on Destroyers for the most part, but he also was on an aircraft carrier when he first joined up?
Is there a problem withh the "Add attachments" as nothing I do will let me add an attachment. It does take .jpg files correct?

Nice I am trying to concentrate on MM'd and cased ones. I tried adding another but it would not allow me no matter what I tried!

The white stuff is brasso or something of that like that Dad used to polish them, I have just never had the heart to remove it, as I know how much pride he had for them, and can visualize him polishing them prior to parading on Rememberance Day
The reverse of the Newfoundland Medal

For those of you that are not familiar with it, the second last is the "Newfoundland Volunteer Medal"

Great information Thank you very much Gordon :food-smiley-004: , I was not aware that military personel got the one without swords. Any idea what he did to recive it?
You have a freind who was in the "LAH", Cool , I was in the food court at a mall in Red Deer, and there was an older grey haired gentleman a few table's away who was wearing a leather hat, and it had the Div sign for the 'Frunsberg", I so wanted to go ask him if that was it, but I had a concern that he might not take it the right way! I would be interested to talk to a vet from there, though they miight not want to talk about their experiences.
Here's another one of mine, It's purported to be an unmarked S&L
