Guest Rick Research
Unfortunately there were MANY "John Spear"s in Maine-- and the only one I can find is shown as a GAR grave in West Gardiner Cemetery, Kennebec County, "1826-1911" with wife Rebecca Ann "1829-1900."No Maine Civil War sources available to me to tell any of them apart. Ulsterman
There is also a 14th Maine Volunteer Infantry website-but John Spear is not listed thereupon. Try forum #1-they seem to really know their stuff.
