Unknown bavarian cap badge

Don't know if it is for a cap. Should be bavarian.

Back:

The badge measures 3.5 x 4.5 centimetres and is solid metal, not bendable.

Two long prongs, looks like it never was worn.

Any ideas ?

Hallo Robert

I dont think it is even Bavarian, while they had a lion on their coat of arms it also carried a pattern of blue and white diamonds (sideways checkerboard) as can be seen on many of their military medals and insignia.

The item you have pictured is not the same, the crown is not like the one depicted for Bavaria.
