drclaw Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Hmmm, very interesting! Thanks for posting these. Fushimi received the Manchukuo Order of the Orchid Blossoms (only 34 awards I believe) but Yamamoto only received the Auspicious Clouds.
pieter1012 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Although both were fleet admirals, Prince Fushimi was head of the Fushimi branch of the Imperial family and cousin of Emperor Hirohito. I guess that is the reason for the difference. Pieter
