There were many awards to Imperial German Officers including: Bismarck: Grand Cordon of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum Caprivi: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun Bernhard, Furst von Bulow: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, with Paulownia Tirpitz: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, with Paulownia Wilhelm II: Collar of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum Prince Heinrich of Prussia: Collar of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum (he had earlier been decorated with the Grand Cordon of this Order) Kronprinz Wilhelm: Grand Cordon of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum Prinz Eitel-Friedrich of Prussia: Grand Cordon of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum Prinz Adalbert of Prussia: Grand Cordon of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum GFM Karl von Bulow: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Sacred Treasure GO Helmuth, Graf von Moltke: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, and Grand Cordon of the Order of the Sacred Treasure there were many, many others

I visited the Mikasa in 2010 and noted that several Orders were missing from the display: Order of Merit, military division (Great Britain); Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (Great Britain); Grand Cross of the Order of Naval Merit (Spain); Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (Poland); Order of St Anne, 1st class (Russia, awarded concurrently with the Order of the White Eagle); and Order of St Stanislas, 1st class (Russia, awarded concurrently with the Order of the White Eagle). The missing British Orders are explainable because they may have been returned on the death of the recipient. As for the other missing awards, I don't know where they ended up...

British Field Marshal Earl Kitchener visited Japan in 1909 and was presented with the badge of a Gensui (Marshal) as a souvenir. Some people erroneously state that Kitchener was an honorary Field Marshal in the Imperial Japanese Army.
