Guest Brian von Etzel
Unaltered as handed down from grandfather. No one added anything here that wasn't placed in a box as is by its recipient. It's photographed on a sash his men gave him on his 70th birthday. I've theorized the bow might have come from his earlier medal/ribbon bar, the wider pre war style as it appears in a photo he is wearing a bow. The award itself perhaps from an earlier bar? From his hands as found, it works together like this for me.
Stogieman
Drop dead gorgeous piece Brian. I like it and the uniqueness of the display. There's just not enough family history preserved out there! Nice!
