looking for a Major of KB 5. Infanterie-Regiment

I'm looking for a Major that served in 1918 in the "k?niglich bayerisches 5. Infanterie Regiment". after the war he resided in Munich.

If anyone has the Stellenbesetzung of this Regiment I would appreciate the names of the Bataillonskommandeure and Stabsoffiziere in the Rank of Major.

Hi Rick,

I got the the shoulder boards des Herrn Major - I know it's not much, but I thought I could at least narrow the possible owner down to a few names. The boards have quite a bit of use, fine patina und Schmutz on them, I suspect a Bataillon Commander. The boards are from an old household in Munich.

This is NOT as "easy" as it may seem. WARTIME there are also Reserve and Landwehr Regiments with the same numbers. POSTWAR wearing aD uniforms in retirement increases the numbers. Throw in dR officers and...
