Hey gang! I had the chance to acquire this steel example. Christian T Dicke manufactured a few of these before they completely stopped the production of the gold gilt buckle. These gilt buckles were made of alum. up to 1939 and then moved to steel. Many steel examples have lost their gilt but this example is still sitting strong!

I really like this one! A welcome addition to the collection! These aren't that easy to find!

    Thought I'd share some pics!

    Cheers!

    Rob,

A really great KM buckle! As you pointed out, a great deal of gold remaining. Your collection is growing by "leaps and bounds."

Any other buckle collectors out there that have some interesting pieces to share?

off topic: I'm desperately in search of a Police EM buckle with plain field rather than pebbled to add to my collection. Can anyone help me? If so, please pm me.

    Regards, Jack Angolia

Hi Stepen...basically: yes. They are the same size and shape. These navy examples were made of aluminum and steel. The alum. versions were only made by R.S.S.

The steel examples are pretty hard to find. My example is from C.T.D.

    I'll post pics soon.

    Hope this info helps.

    Cheers!
