SS dagger blade

Hello,

what is this ?

This blade is from a friend who found it last week in the attic of his father in law. The father in law says it came from his father but has no idea to it.

I'm not into German daggers myself but it should be a SS dagger since it has

"Meine Ehre hei?t Treue" inscribed on one side of the blade. The thing i don't understand is the other side.

It says "In Herzlicher Freundschaft, Ernst Rohm". This is for SA daggers.

So what is it ?

What would be the value if this were complete with scabbard, handle and in good condition, just for info ?

If it was complete and the whole dagger was in the region of E++ condition, it would be worth, "around", USD$16,000.00. I wouldn't want to take a guess as to how much your blade would be worth to someone...
