Gordon Williamson Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Let's see if anyone can throw light on the identity of this Ritterkreuztr?ger. Not a very good photo but given that the collar tab seems to show light coloured embroideredy on a darker base, it looks like an Oberstleutnant/Oberst and not the gold on white tabs of a General (Most of the Luftwaffe RKtr?ger of the KVK were Generals)Obviously from the flight branch going by his awards, and a WW1 vet. There is a name written on the photo but no way of being sure if this is actually the signature of the person in the photo - it could have been written on by a collector as the assumed identity of the person. In any case it doesn't match the name of any known Luftwaffe recipient of the RK of the KVK.There is something else particularly interesting about this photo, but lets try to deal with the ID first.
