Guest Rick Research Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Unteroffizier Schmidt of 5./Feldart 60 had himself QUITE an accomplishment, there--MK2 on 26 July 1916 and MK1 on 6 October! The 1st Class documents are hand autographed by Friedrich Franz.VERY nice to such a junior NCO, and particularly with so little time between awards!

Just happened on a major London dealer who had no idea what all these were so picked up the lot for song, the rest are marriage and birth
Guest Rick Research Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 No idea what the usual paperwork processing delay was with these, but given the short time between the two, they are both probably for action on the Somme between Barleux and Belloy with the 17th Infantry Division.
