It has an odd mounting. He used a wooden skewer to mount them to. I'll post more when the research comes in from South Africa. I love these medals to South Africans because I get several pages of documents including all postings. It is more than just a MIC.

Odd that it is (1) just an Africa Star, (2) so many medals mounted backwards and (2) the Africa Star ribbon is reversed. With the possible exception of '1', so flawed that it has to be real.
