Besides the over priced starting bid, can anyone spot the probable reason this item did not sell?

Well, the tiger looks significantly different from mine, and the attachment below the ribbons is also different.

You are correct in both instances. What I had attempted to show was the reverse of the medal which had no hallmarks and was a dull grey silver color. In fact, the front view ahows the total lack of gilt on the medal.
