Orlik Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Does anyone have any idea as to the correct colour for the Czech helmet worn by this Wehrmacht volunteer unit? Did it have a standard Czech paint finish or was it re-painted? In the book by Drobiazko & Karashchuk on the Russian Liberation Army, the artwork showing a member of the formation in pre-Wehrmacht uniform seems to represent the helmet colour as a light-brown. Don't know if this is just my interpretation of the rendering of the artwork or if in fact the hue differs from the Czech finish. Would appreciate any feedback on this.
Belaruski Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I think you'd be better off asking in one of the German sections. This area is about the PSR of Albania!

Bit of a "snafu" on the old mental awareness front I'm afraid. Confusion and senility on my part. If I eventually manage to navigate this site will do as you suggest.
