Peter1975 Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 (edited) ...just wonder what a good price would be on a Rk des kvk (with ribbon) in a very nice condition?Any differences between with or without swords? There seems to differ a lot between dealers and geographic areas.Regards Peter Edited August 23, 2007 by Peter1975
Gordon Williamson Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Prices do vary widely. Without swords are rarer in terms of numbers awarded, but who know how many were actually made ? Those with Swords tend (erroneously) to be considered military and without Swords are civil and so less desirable for some people. Whether it is with case and ribbon would make a huge difference to price. Maker would also make a big difference to price. Deschler are common, other known makers - Zimmermann, Steinhauer and possibly Klein & Quenzer are very rare.Even if you take the commonest one - a cased Deschler RK with Swords, you can find prices varying between Euro 4000 and 6000.Deschler are heavily faked though, whereas I haven't seen fakes of Zimmermann or Steinhauer (yet !)
Peter1975 Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 ...Gordon...thanks!You said "heavily faked"...So good made that it?s nearly impossible to see the differences between good ones and bad ones?/peter--------------------------------------------Looking for a Rk des kvk
