    Does anybody know how this may be. It looks like he is wearing the following:

    a) Bavaria: 1849 or 1866 cross

    b) Bavaria: Long Service Cross for 24 or 40 years of service

    c) Hessia-Darmstadt: Ludwig Knight Cross 1st or 2nd class

    d) Hessia-Darmstadt: Phillip Order Knight with Swords 1st or 2nd
