Flags from Downpatrick Cathedral

On a recent trip, I took these and thought I would share them with you. I cannot remember if there was information about them in the cathedral.

Flags? Flags? - they're 'Colours' sir, and very kind of you to share them with us too. The Volunteer one is possibly Napoleonic and being cased has been well preserved.

Um, yes... at the time of posting, I didn't feel flag was the correct term but my mind was on other things and I couldn't kick it into gear to come up with colours.

Wish I could remember if there was a description of each one.

It's nice to see them framed as protection - although I love seeing old colours hanging from the rafters of churches & cathedrals I always wince at the thought of what damage these unique items are suffering just by dangling half furled from a pole.

I'm curious, does anyone know about the cathedral where ADM William Pitt's half-armour is? I've been told it has his admiral's pennant and his armour, but, I've never been able to find out where the church is nor have I been able to locate a picture of it.
