Kriegsmarine Submarine Badge, Is it a good one?

Hello Gentlemen,

Your opinions please. Is this a real one? If so please fill me in on the deatils, such as is it an early war produced badge. Is this the correct box for this maker?

Sorry, but this one isn't one I'd like to have. At first glance its very close, but there are several little details which don't quite match the known Schwerin tooling. The size of the hinge block, the font of the lettering in the name, the details of the eagles head, the saddle tanks on the sub's hull.

The case is a generic LDO case. Hard to say from these photos if its right or wrong, but if right it wouldn't be specifically for the U-Boat badge but could have contained any one of a number of awards.
