The first bag (the white one) may be Swedish, there are the three crowns stamp inside the flap. Kev in Deva Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 Hallo Gents the second bag looks like a standard British / Commonwealth WW2 era gas mask bagDuring WW2 to Post WW2 area we were using them with a more modern respirator in the Irish Army back in the mid 1970s,Is the inside compartmentalised 2-3 sections, for mask, filter, etc.?? Many were converted for use as Medical bags as well with the addition of a white circle and red cross being applied in paint.The serial number possibly a manufacture code, rather than a soldiers serial number as I would expect to see his name beside it.The one Crown and numbers on the front of the Swedish bag probably denotes its use by a specific Swedish Army Regiment Kevin in Deva Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
