I am not familiar with Third Reich ones, but it seems odd to me that it should sayJ(nfanterie) G(esch?tz) K(om)p(agnie) of J(nfanterie) R(egiment) 213 rather than the company NUMBER. landsknechte Posted February 2, 2008 Share Posted February 2, 2008 The regiment was raised in August 1939, and then was redesignated a "Grenadier Regiment" in October of 1942. I would presume it came from somewhere between those dates, unless it was already stamped and given out to someone subsequent to that date. If I remember correctly, the Infantrie Gesch?tz company would have been numbered "13". Maybe someone got superstitious. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
