Does anyone have an idea about this type/period of helmet??

Imperial, Saxon, Kurasseur (excuse spelling) ? Chinscales worn to the back rather than top the front, I have seen a modern copy of this type of helmet with Saxon plate - a basic check would be to check the composition of any lining to the peaks, the one I saw had these linings removed, leaving traces of a plastic covering with heavy "Evo Stik" type glue.

I have no idea if the item that you are showing is genuine but the cockade which appears to be in the Prussian colours of black & white looks like a badly painted modern copy.

another laughable peice of scrap shipped out of india . Probably made about a month or two before you got it.
