Well here I am again testing your patience.... but my curiousity is killing me!!!

I notice MINER"S swords made in the imperial period.

What is so significant about a MINER (with all due respect) that would prompt a sword???

    Hi Thomas,

A "sword" to me has a military connotation. It just seems strange to me that miners would be carrying their own swords.

Maybe I am way off base

    Hello Rod,

in good old Prussia* (for example) each man in uniform carried a sword. A post office official, a railway official, firemen, policemen, Garrison physicians, Military musician...

In these cases there is not weapons, but badges for the rank of the carrier.

Therefore the wrong impression, Prussia developed would be extremely military.
