scottplen Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 (edited) here one I found in antique store in throop PA. officially engrave DFC,Purple heart(rare panograthed type),air medal seems to be post 1947 with out rank , all in boxes with all other medals and original paper items ins,DFC 12 AF award doc, Purple heart letter , I could not get pres. memorial and photo of his mother recieving medals and original telegram stating he was MIA they went to someone else before I came in he was to return and get rest of group but was fight over how much for medals !Robert h williams 85th FS 79th FG 12th AF MIA off coast of France after being hit by AAA on strafing mission in rhone river valley southern france! his p-57d-27-RE was seen crashing into sea off cape couronne FRance he was not seen to have bailed out and remains never recovered! Found his pic in book on 79th FG! I like this group since he was a local PA boy!!! Edited April 24, 2008 by scottplen
