    American Army fingerring

    Recommended Posts

That is the Cost of Arms of the United States of America

The stars within the disk above the eagles head represent the original thirteen colonies

"e pluribus unum" is Latin; it means "From many, one" and refers to the idea that the United States is made

up of individual states and populated by individual citizens, but we come together as a single country

What is the design on the other side of the ring?

Are there any initials inside the band?

The general design is common for WW2 up to today

    David thanks for your reply.

The ring has no marks . and has no initials. I think the base material is brass with a chrome finish.

    Here some more pictures.

    Cheers,

    Hallo benten,

Walts = "Walter Mitty" a character in a US movie starring Danny Kaye

as a guy who day dreams about being a success in many different roles,

    Doctor, Detective, Soldier etc..etc...

Today its used to describe guys who buy military clothing and items

to use to convince people they really were in the military.

Like guys wearing S.A.S, Para, or French Foreign Legion T-Shirts etc.. etc..

    Not to be confrontational but?

Recommend going easy on that one.

I?ve known good soldiers who bought and wore these out of simple pride in their service to their country.

Not heroes ? not greats - just soldiers and proud of it.

Recommend restraint before branding all wearers ?Walts?.

I would call many simply good citizens who answered with pride when called.

Not West Point rings ? not airborne rings ? not whatever.

If I were a ?Walt? I be buying something more prestigious.
