Hi guys, just wanted to show you the latest to the collection. A very nice steel buckle by Christian Theodore Dicke. Note the distinct Dicke eagle, very characteristic and unique to this maker

Yuppers...Very cool .... and very distinct eagle. My only CTD example like this is a steel Navy example that has the gold gilt to it. One of my faves...same eagle - just a different "colour".

Hi Ben....interesting question....if it was replaced...it would have been done a LONG time ago. In hand - the patination and "look" (you know what I mean) match perfectly! If it is a replacement - I'm sure it was period done....I'll take some closeups if I can of the belt catch...
