Roman Slivin Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 What do you think?Ribbon on Military Medic's Cross, 1914 correct?Regards,Roman
Schießplatzmeister Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Hello Roman:Yes, this is the correct ribbon for the Hessen-Darmstadt Military Medic's Cross for Combat-related recipients (this is the same ribbon as for the Bravery Medal). The "civilian" version of the ribbon was a dark-red with silver metallic threads. So, this combination is possible.I am a bit puzzled by the pin on the reverese of this group however as it looks a bit strange.Best regards,"SPM"
Guest Rick Research Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I think it is a backing for TWO medals and rather than stick the newest one off on one end, our thrifty wearer sppppppppppread them out so both awards on the ends are each partially out in space rather than one being entirely so.Nice bar-- these Hessian medical Crosses do not show up very often.
Roman Slivin Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks for your opinion. Now I am quiet.BR,Roman
