Guest Rick Research
There are many such souvenirs from the 100th anniversary of many German regiments. This will be of note to many of our collectors here as being the product of-- note THIS spelling-- "C. Poellath" of Schrobenhausen in Bavaria. They seem to have been the main makers of Bavarian flying badges 1914+ and could NEVER spell their firm's name consistently--it was Poellath/P?llath in name only, having been sold into another family's ownership. My very favorite example of their work is a printed Catholic death card with each side of the same card bearing a different spelling of the company's name C/K Poellath/P?llath!!!They were still making medals under the Nazis, and continue to exist in some form to this day.
