Odd DK

Here's an oddity.

This DK............

....is apparently a Deschler.......

.....but has a Zimmermann mark.

It's mine. I've had it for 20-odd years. The only DK in Gold I've ever owned.

I also have a standard '1' marked Deschler DK in Silver which is identical in every way to this Gold one.

The Gold DK seems to be a standard Deschler, but with a Zimmermann pin mark.

Could Deschler have sold stocks to Zimmermann?

None at all. The whole thing is untouched.

I like it because it does not "fit the mold" ...who knows , maybe the pin snapped off while being worn and the Zimmermann factory did the repair. Or ..could there be more like it out there ? That would prove that Deschler did sell stocks to Zimmermann. I'll keep my eyes open for another now . Whatever the case ..it's a nice one ...I can see why you kept it .
