Hi,

I recently acquired a postcard photo of Kapit?nleutnant Otto Weddigen's and I am some what confused over his actual date of birth. Several web sites I have visited in my search give various dates ranging from 1880 through to 1882, with the most often referred to date being 15 Sept 1882. Does any one know the real date? Also can anyone provide the date of Otto Weddigen?s promotion to Kapit?nleutnant please?

Naval Rank Lists show date of rank and seniority as Kapit?nleutnant = 25 April 1912 R.

Date of birth (Naval Honor Rank List 1914-1918) = 15 September 1882.
