Document help please

This document came along with (I won't yet say "in a group") with a nice cased 1914-15 War Medal.

I think I have scanned it correctly (right-to-left) and have the right side up? Printed Japanese is one things, but this flowing script, however beautiful, .

This is definitely one for my wife, not me I will let you know what she says. My first glance suggests it is some sort of patriotic poem but it is too flowing for me to be able to read it properly.
