Guest Rick Research Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 He is shown as a Bordfunker, Pokal date 16.11.42 (dates often vary several days between award paperwork and actual goblet because of approval versus processing delays) on the roll of the Honor Goblets published back in the 1980s in Germany. No hope whatsoever of recovering citations for specific actions that led to awards. The last I knew, the German government spent the reunified 1990s cheerfully incinerating any and all military records that HAD survived, going back as far as WW1 in a blatantly feeble attempt to disguise the fact that the intent was to shield Stasi informers from retribution."Privacy," doncha know. :speechless:
