invitation from "generalordenskommission"

Hi,

today, after viewing an interesting post in a german forum, I would like to show you an invitation from the "generalordenskomission" to recieve an award mid-january 1914. I have never seen such an document before - does anyone of you have also one of these, especially dated in the 20th century?

THAT IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL !!!!!!

All I have ever seen are cover letters sent in the MAIL saying "here is your award and document, please return the enclosed receipt."

Too bad this is AFTER the final published Prussian Orders List. Do you know what award he received?

One more for the Ordensfest 1870.

Admiralit?tsrat Richter received the RAO 3rd class on this occasion.

It is pale-yellow, sorry, only a b/w-pic here at the moment.

@Rick: I don't have any information about the award he got - but due to his profession (he was a printer (not the machine, the person ) ) I expect he got an Kronenorden 4th class...
