Could somebody help me on this abbreviation ?

Found today a 1914-15 Star and a Victory Medal with this engraved name :

WSA 1027.D.SMITH.SKR.R.N.R.

Knowing almost nothing about the British medals, could you help me in identifying this abbreviation?

Skipper, Royal Naval Reserve. Ranks with warrant officers.

The WSA prefix means it's a war substantive appointment. Probably a man with experience in small craft, skippers were often in command of drifters and trawlers.
