    Unidentified Yugoslavian Pin / Insignia

    Recommended Posts

    Hallo Gents,

picked this one up at the weekend in the Collectors Fair, Targu Mures, Northern Romania.

I liked the look of the old soldier on the front.

Can anybody identify its purpose, and what it says on the front?

    Many thanks,

    Kevin in Deva.

    Hello Kevin

it's a pin of the Association of war volonteers of the Kingdom of Jugoslavia. They had a big reunion in 1931 and that was the purpose of this pin. The soldier is wearing a typical Serbian uniform with hat.

    Best regards

    Milan

    Further info:- :jumping:

I was given the following as a translation of the languages on the pin:-

Top of Medal = Belgrade (in Cyrillic)

Left Side = Union of War Volunteers (in Latin)

Right Side = Kingdom of Yugoslavia (in Cyrillic)
