Guest Rick Research Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 :Cat-Scratch: Ahhh! VERY interesting, indeed!Best post this again in the Other Countries section and see about getting a proper identification on the Spanish medal. (I have ZERO pre-Franco.) That's the young (as he was then) king of circa Spanish-American War 1898, and I betcha the design was changed when his voice did-- which will help date this. And MAYBE... if we know what that medal is called to LOOK for it... we can FIND this person in the Baden Court & State Handbooks, ho ho.
Naxos Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 The Medal was awarded at the Coronation of Alfonso XIII of Spain in 1902 (Medalla de la Coronaci?n de Alfonso XIII)
Guest Rick Research Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008  I'll have a look to see if that's listed among the awards SHOWN in the Court & States. Some things just weren't.Will let you know if I find any matches, but IF that is listed as a ... listed award... will have to go through the ENTIRE Grand Duchy to see if there are more than one matches. Will give me something to take my mind off the End Times tomorrow. (Invisibilized pending eBay sale. Schtumm schtumm, Kinder! )
