Tony Farrell Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 The rosette on the ACSM denotes thirty six months' accumulated service subsequent to the award of the medal proper. Quite likely to be a UDR/R Irish (HS) recipient.
Noor Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) Thank you guys for info! Here is my first mini medalbar and matching ribbon bar. I like the silver Air Efficiency award in the end. Edited February 22, 2010 by Noor
Megan Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 That's nice, Noor. Are the ribbons on the ribbon bar of miniature, rather than full-size, width? If so, wonder when they were worn - you'd usually have full-size ribbons on service dress, and wear your miniatures on mess dress (or with civilian evening wear).
Noor Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 Hi Megan! Yes, ribbon bar ribbons are smaller size as well then normal size ribbon bars have. Here is few other examples of this size of ribbon bars from my small collection. Top bar is just for a comparing.
Noor Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) and this one... Edited February 25, 2010 by Noor
Noor Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 My next question is regarding India Service medal.... I am looking more information about this award. Is it something what India instituded for only the Indian armed forces or is it the award what was awarded to other troops in India, during WW2 as well?
