sef1962 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Hello just got this photo can anyone help are these three cavalry officers ? also have they got some sort of carbine as the guns seem pretty short there is a stamp on the back 1.Landsturm eskadron 10 A.K. very faint writing no date I can see is this early or late war thanks Mark
Chip Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) They are wearing the shoulder straps and helmets of the Oldenburgisches Dragoner Rgt. Nr.19., X.A.K. See below for a better view of the strap. They are enlisted men, not officers. While I suppose this could be a wartime photo, I don't see anything in the picture that would indicate that it is. Other than the older pattern carbines, they are outfitted just like the line regiment.Chip Edited January 15, 2009 by Chip
