The main clue is that the men are wearing the standard blue suit that was worn by those who were back in England to recover. It ties in with a regt ident photo I put on the British Empire & Commonwealth Militaria page. Looking closely tha same gentleman is in both photos. in the other picture, he is seen posing behind a unexploded/damaged shell and he has a 'wound stripe' on his sleeve.Many thanks,Ivan.
