Rowan Stevens Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best reference book/s out there for buckles?Interested in primarily German WW2 but would also appreciate any recommendations for WW1 buckles too.Thanx in advanceRowan
lach470 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Peter Nash and John Angolia both have some really nice reference books out there in regards to German belt buckles. Nash covers them from 1845-1945 but deals with box buckles. Angolia deals with ww1 to www2 buckles but also deals with officer brocades - not just enlisted men's buckles. Both books can be easily found on Ebay.Good luck! I have both books and they are good - though somewhat expensive.Cheers!Rob
Rowan Stevens Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Hey Rob, thanks for your great recommendations.. I'm on the case.I do feel it is important to buy some good books before the items themselves.I have looked at some of the other posts on the forum and you sure do have a great collection. Rowan
